    ROTATIONAL CAPTAIN: Daniel Rawlins (British)
    Daniel grew up on the coast of South Africa and got involved in sailing with the Royal Natal Yacht Club at the young age of eight. His career in Super Yachting started in 1998, when he quickly completed three transatlantic crossing and two busy charter seasons before taking a permanent captain’s position on S/Y Gitana, a 120 foot Perini Navi in 2000. After 4 years he went on to complete two successful circumnavigations as Captain between 2004 and 2008, spending a great deal of time in the Pacific. Daniel has a wealth of experience in a multitude of different cruising grounds; he joined Hyperion in 2010 and plans on a long future with us. He has a calm nature and easy-going personality, approachable and confident who follows the belief that the best way to lead is by example. In his social time he dabbles in Photography, surfing and does competitive Triathlons and road cycling.


    ROTATIONAL CAPTAIN: Nicholas Jacklein (Canadian)
    Nico has been on board Hyperion since 2011, he has worked his way through the ranks and now rotates as captain with Daniel. Growing up sailing on the Great Lakes in Canada, Nico has spent many years racing and coaching at his local yacht clubs before discovering the world of yachting. Beyond Nicos’ enthusiasm for sailing in any capacity he tends towards the academic, having completed a degree in Communications, specializing in Economics and International Trade. His various hobbies include classic cars, skiing and kite surfing.

    ROTATIONAL CHIEF ENGINEER: Thomas Dawson (British)
    Thomas has a wealth of experience on large sailing yachts, he joins us from a long-standing position as chief Engineer on 55m Marie, he is familiar with the systems found on vessel with big sailing plans. He brings a calm and confident set of skills to Hyperion’s engineering systems. He is a very personable crew and takes pride in keeping the vessel operating like clockwork. Any questions about Hyperion’s complex systems don’t hesitate to ask him. He is fluent in both French and English and conversational Spanish. Thomas returns home to the UK when he is off rotation to his family and 2 daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys just about any water sport a good run and of course Sailing.


    ROTATIONAL CHIEF ENGINEER: Gavin McIntosh (South African)
    Gavin grew up in Durban, South Africa and started sailing in the Southern Ocean soon after finishing high school. His career on board superyachts started in the Caribbean after completing multiple trans-Atlantic deliveries of 35-foot catamaran sailing yachts to the northern hemisphere. Gavin has a wealth of experience in marine engineering, and currently holds an engineering license which enables him to maintain and safely operate vessels up to 3000KW. He joined Hyperion in March 2021 as a rotational Chief Engineer. When Gavin is off rotation, he returns to his adopted home city, Amsterdam, where he pursues outside activities including golf, road biking and hiking. He also enjoys a good run around the squash courts, alongside spending valuable time with his wife and young daughter.

The prices shown are for the entire yacht for a week-long (7 nights) charter.

Low Rate: $121,661
High Rate: $135,782

The high and low prices of this yacht depend on both the number of guests and the traveling season. Send us an inquiry for exact pricing.

Payment Term : Plus Expenses

Included in your charter rate is the vessel and a professional crew. All other costs such as: fuel, tax, provisions and any other expenses are part of your APA. Advance provisioning allowance (APA) is a pre-payment held by the captain. Any unused monies from the APA account will be refunded after the charter is complete. Additional to the APA, 15%-20% of the base charter rate should be added for crew gratuity.

APA Guidlines

Motor Yacht Expenses: 25%-35% of the base charter rate. Sailing Yacht Expenses: 12%-25% of the base charter rate. For more information, inquire with one of our charter specialists.
